It is not very close to Diani Beach center, but far enough for peace and tranquility. You can catch a taxi to the center of Diani it's 2.5km on the dirt road the approximately another 7km to the shopping centers. If you want the night life and partying, then be prepared for a 20/30 minute commute.
It is 15 km from the Ukunda airport and 50 km from Mombasa Moi international Airport and 56km from Miritini SGR train terminal. There are daily regular flights from Nairobi Wilson airport to Diani Beach by: Skyward Express, Safarilink, and ALS as well as from Jomo Kenyata airport by Jambojet. This is the most convenient connection with the capital of the country. Moi International Airport in Mombasa is the option for overseas flights as it will provide visa and custom clearance. Transfer from Mombasa to Sonrisa will take from 1.5 up to 3 hrs depending on the traffic on the ferry connecting the island with the mainland.
